looking for good hotel recomondations in nuremberg for june 15-16 2018. looked at hotel victoria and hotel elch both booked that week. is there something going on in nuremberg then? our budget is 150 cad a night for two people.
We stayed at the Ibis near the train station -- basic, but serviceable.
From June 8-17 there is the International Organ Week, so hotels in the vicinity of the maior churches like the Victoria and the Elch will fill up soon. Three star hotels in the ancient city that will fit into your budget include the Steichele, The Dürer-Hotel, and the Agneshof. Or check out the chain hotels around the station: East of the station: Holiday Express, Motel One (my personal preference), NH; west: IC-Hotel, B&B (basic), Ibis, and another Motel One near the Plärrrer place and UBahn station.
Or write to the tourist info and let help you finding accomodation.
If you end up going with a chain, I will also recommend Motel One. It's an excellent German chain that provides small, spotless rooms for a fair price. Breakfast, usually an extra 10 euro or so, is a typical German spread with organic options. I've stayed at multiple locations, and they always have staff who speak English at the front desk. So... if you're in Germany and stay at a chain hotel, why not stay at a German one?
I have stayed at the Hotel am Heideloffplatz a few times. They are outside the old city, but near the Hauptbahnhoff and within walking distance. They have parking too.
