If you want to have a short walk from the train station, do laundry with your own in- room washing machine, stroll to sites, and then come back to have the best crispy duck ever at the modern Japanese restaurant next door to the hotel… stay here. https://www.adinahotels.com/en/apartments/nuremberg/
We were there in April and can highly recommend. Breakfast is excellent also.

My favorite is the Drei Raben hotel in Nuremberg.

Hotel Probst without question. We just stayed there 4 nights and we’d do it again. We always take Rick’s recommendations as often as possible (instead of crowd sourcing) and we’ve never been sorry. This was such a good place.

if you are on a budget I can recommend the Motel One hotels in Germany. I see they have one near the Hauptbahnhof. Nothing fancy but clean and comfy for a couple for one night.

I'm with Heather. Motel One offers clean modern rooms at about 100 euro per night. Good breakfast objection, (around 12.00) and a nice bar with seating all around. We can recommend them in Dresden, Leipzig, Vienna, Salzberg, Koln. Them and the NH brand seem to be the business style hotels. We have stayed in many of Rick's picks but since we retired, we upped the hotel game a little.

I like the MotelOne's. But if you are on a budget the Probst is preferable. And as far as the location is concerned, anyway.

The breakfast at Hotel Drei Raben was great and it was easy to walk to from the train station and the castle. I’ve only spent one day in Nuremberg, so I can’t compare it to other hotels, but I’d be willing to stay there again.
