I am trying to book train tickets for our family of 4 to travel from Munich to Milan via Verona Porta Nuova. The tickets were not available for direct purchase from the Deutsche Bahn website, I had to submit a request for pricing. I received the quotation promptly and was instructed to contact their 24-h service hotline to have the tickets issued.
I called on 2 consecutive days and was on hold for >20 min in total and never reached a person (while incurring international toll charges.) I sent an email and asked if I could purchase the tickets online, or if they could call me. I have not received a response.
Has anyone else had similar issues? I am also thinking of buying tickets for the Munich to Verona leg from the DB website and then booking the Verona to Milan leg separately if DB won't book the full trip. Any other suggestions?
