No digital registration needed for Germany entry from US?

Hello all,
I'm leaving for Germany from the U.S. on April 22. Do American tourists no longer need to apply for digital registration to enter Germany? This seems like one of the restrictions that ended on March 2, but I just want to make 100% certain before my departure next week.

For specific reference, I'm traveling through Bavaria, Saxony, Brandenburg and Berlin. Not sure if that matters, but I know Germany is a federal republic and its individual states may have different laws re: registration or other COVID measures.

Look on your airline website and or Germany website for the latest info. Believe you still have to fill in EU form and get a covid antigen test.

If I am reading this right and I haven't been tracking it lately:

New Entry Regulation
As of Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 0:00 a.m., with the enactment of the "Third Amendment to the Coronavirus Entry Regulations, („Dritte Änderungsverordnung der Coronavirus-Einreiseverordnung“)" no states or regions will be considered high-risk areas.

Hi, Nathan.

Here is information in English from Germany's Federal Foreign Office:

Canada and the U.S. are no longer considered "high risk areas". A quick examination of Germany's Digital Registration on Entry website by inputting "Canada" or "United States" will show this to be the case, which means travellers from Canada or the U.S. do not require digital registration to enter Germany.

Sounds like a great trip ahead!

Hi. What is your airline checkin information saying? I am flying United/Lufthansa to Berlin on the 28th and it says "entry requirements complete" which means no PLF/digital reg.

Hi Nathan,
I've been planning a four-country trip that got canceled 11/04/2020. Since then this has been a big help for me to have everything collected in one location.

I hope it helps you too.

Last I checked, no test or registration needed. That was from the embassy and also via the website for that stuff. US is no longer on high risk area list. BUT -- I was going to schedule a time for us to get a test anyways though since you have to get appointments so far in advance. I'd just do it. Schedule through a place like CVS and if you have insurance it should be free.
