If you have travelled by train from Munich to Florence, how was your experience?
We have done the Munich/Venice trip a couple of times. Not many here will agree, but we enjoyed the night train. It was just a different experience. Slept like a baby the first time, the second time, slept ok. Still we were glad we did it.
Hi,
I've not done the night train to Florence, will only comment on the duration. Going from Munich to Florence by night train takes about as much time as the night train Munich to Hamburg or Munich to Berlin, both of which I've done several times, 10 hrs or so.
Be sure to take night train that goes direct, no changes en route before you reach Florence. My experiences with these (direct) night trains all very satisfactory, no problems, sleeping or otherwise.
Check the schedule carefully. I planned to do the Nightjet from Munich to Venice next month only to find that track work is being done at night in Italy for the month of July. We switched to a day train.
