Konigssee, Neuschwanstein & Zugspitze from Munich overnight

I have 5 full days in Munich, but don't want to spend more than 1-2 days in the city. I love outdoor and want to visit Konigssee near Berchtesgaden, Neuschwanstein & Zugspitze.

What's the best public transportation options with shortest time to get to these? I'm open to spending an overnight in Berchtesgaden, Fussen & Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Thanks

Bayern Ticket is 25 EUR for the first person and 6 EUR for each additional person up to 5 traveling together. Start after 9 am weekdays, all day weekends. Includes most buses in Bavaria. All those towns mentioned are covered by trains and buses.

Use www.bahn.com to explore options.

Be sure that when you buy your Bayern Ticket that you write the names of all travelers on it in the designated area.

Thanks! Per answer to another post, Bayern tickets has restriction until after 9am weekday. I would like to arrive early into either Fussen or Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Which town should I stay for 2 nights to see Neuschwanstein & Zugspitze?
And I'd like to take the cable to Zugspitze, but at Eibsee from 3th of April the cable car is out of order due to reconstruction work.
The Werdenfels-Ticket also includes the Ausserfernbahn train from Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Pfronten via Reutte. This route stops in the town of Erwald, from which you could take the Austrian Tiroler Zugspitzbahn (another cable car) up the Zugspitze.
How long does it take to get from Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Erwald to take the Austrian Tiroler Zugspitzbahn?

You can look at the schedule at www.bahn.com, but you must use the correct spelling for the destination, Ehrwald.

I stayed in G-P for a week and I could have stayed longer! So much to do there. Why not take the cog railway up from Garmisch and then take the Cable car down to the Austrian side? Catch a bus back to G-P.

If you stay in Reutte, you can take a direct train to Ehrwald (per your suggestion) on the Ausserfernbahn route. It takes about 30 minutes. You can get to Neuschwanstein from Reutte too... bus to Füssen, bus from Füssen to Hohenschwangau...

Reutte - Füssen Bahnhof or Füssen Pulverturm, normally around 25 minutes, bus 74: http://www.rvo-bus.de/oberbayernbus/view/mdb/kursbuch/mdb_261195_74_101217.pdf

Füssen - Hohenschwangau stop, around 5-8 minutes, for N'stein, bus 73 or 78:

Hi All,
Thank you for the info. My flight gets into MUC late evening so I need to stay in Munich first.

I'm trying to minimize travel time to get to Neuschwanstein & Zugspitze and return to MUC. I want to stay in a town where I can do some scenic hiking nearby and spend 1 full day to see Zugspitze.

According to the Zugspitzbahn web site, that's from april 9-13 only (scroll down to "maintenance work" / spring 2018).
