Neuschwanstein Train Timing

We will be doing a day trip from Munich to see Nesuchwanstein and Hohenschwangau at the end of June. The times we received to visit are 12:55-Hohenschwangau and 4:15-Neuschwanstein. I wanted to leave enough time to get there in the morning but now I'm wondering if 4:15 will be cutting it too close to catch a train back to Munich. We will be purchasing an entire network Gruppen Day Ticket (Gruppen Tageskarte Gesamtnetz) for that day. Does anyone know that last regional train time for the day?

If you are talking about a Bayern Ticket that includes the bus, the last bus is at 19:35 to Fuessen station for trains connecting back to Munich, arriving at 23:19.

Could vary as I am looking at June 28 in particular. There is a replacement bus between Buchloe and Geltendorf to get around a section of track under construction.

For your particular date, look it up at www.bahn.com. You can use Neuschwanstein as the start point.

Thank you! I guess I am wondering what the last regional train departure time is so that it would be included in our Bayern ticket or if we will just need to pay separately for a non-regional train to get back to Munich.

Bayern ticket is good until 3 am the next day. You'll be fine. There are only regional trains back to Munich.

All trains from Füssen are regional, so a Bayern ticket is valid on all trains from Füssen. A Bayern ticket is valid up to 03:00 the following day. I just looked on the DB website, the last train back to Munich is:

Füssen dep 22:37, Kaufbeuren arr 23:34
Kaufbeuren dep 23:56, München Hbf arr 00:57

Is that late enough for you?

OK, great! That's definitely late enough. I thought I read somewhere that the regional trains ended around 6 and you had to pay for another later on but I figured I'd get better information here.
