Neuschwanstein Castle time line train to castle

Hello,
We have booked a tour for 10:55 in June. We will be taking the 6 am train out of Munich and arriving in Füssen at 8:55. We must pick up tickets by 9:25. Does anyone know how long it takes to get from the train station to the ticket office? I did read that buses are ready and waiting at the train station to take people to the castle. 30 minutes just feels like a small window of time to get this done.

Thanks so much,
Roby

The bus leaves from the Füssen Bhf at 9:05 and stops in front of the tourist information office in Hohenschwangau at 9:13. Go around the corner to the right and walk up the hill to the ticket kiosk. Google Maps says it takes 4 minutes. I doubt that there will be anyone else in line at that time. The line to purchase tickets for Neuschwanstein is to the left, the line to pick up reserved tickets (and Hohenschwangau tickets) is to the right of it. The lines are well marked (see this pageand this picture). You should have time if you don't dally. Use the Google Map of "Hohenschwangau" to show you where to go.

BTW, the train to Füssen leaves Munich at 6:51.

The rail line between Munich and Buchloe is closed for upgrade/repair work at times in the month of June, so yes, you need the 6:00 train to Augsburg to connect to Fuessen.

If you are nervous, you can take a cab. It's not far so it doesn't cast much.

There appear to be a number of options (S-Bahn to Pasing, TGV to Augsburg, etc) during that time, depending on the date, but there is always one that gets you to the Hohenschwangau bus stop at 9:13. Use the German Rail query webpage to find the schedule for that date.
