Neuschwanstein and luge?

Is there a skip-the-line tour to to Neuschwanstein that stops at Schwangau to ride the luge? We bought tickets online for the castle tour and hate to drive down from Munich on a separate day to get to the same area to ride the luge. But maybe both in one day is too much? Or is there a good way to get from Munich to Schwangau to luge and back without renting a car? -AC

Hi Amy,

The Tegelberg luge ride (Sommerrodelbahn) is about a mile from Neuschwanstein. Why would you need to make two trips? One ride on the luge takes a total of maybe 5 minutes. Ride it a couple of times, as it's a lot of fun.
