Need to pre-order tickets for Deutsches museums in Munich for a weekday in latter half of August?

Anyone familiar with the size of the crowds at the Deutsches main, transporation and BMW museums (not BMW Welt) in the latter half of August in Munich on weekdays? I'm not sure of my day to day schedule and would rather not buy tickets
in advance unless necessary.

Hey, we were just at BMW welt the first week of August! We went on a Tuesday and it was not at all crowded. We didn't do the museum, just the big showroom part, but not many people were going into the museum, if that helps. I have to say, we were in Munich for one week during end of July/beginning August and nothing was crowded. Trains were fine, museums almost empty. The only thing we bought tickets for in advance was the English Language tour at Allianz Areana. My son when to that while I went out to Schloss Nymphenburg, and I almost had it to myself on a Sunday afternoon! We took all sorts of slightly eerie photos of large public spaces (like train stations and the stairs at the Alte Pinakothek) with no people in them! Have fun in Munich...we sure did.

I've never seen giant crowds at any of the museums any time of year. The only issue I've run into is having to wait in the ticket line at the Deutsches Museum on a drizzly day becuase that seemed to be the back up plan for everyone. The trick there is to purchase tickets via your phone right before you go to avoid the line.
