music store(s) in Munich

Are there any stores that sell CDs (new or used) in Munich?

I would think there should be at least a store in Koeln or Leipzig but I wasn't sure if Munich has any stores anymore for CDs.
In the US much of that has gone to online-only(one must order online) and the physical stores do not carry much of a selection now.

I'm interested in recordings by Deutsche Grammophon, EMI, and it would be a big plus to actually visit a store that carried sheet music from G. Henle Verlag editions.

Thank you

I am sure that there are local stores but not an insider of Munich.

But I like to make you familiar with two other chances:

  1. Use German 2nd hand online media shops such as Medimops or Rebuy.
  2. Often you will find CD traders also on flea markets and special events. Also worth checking this.

One last remark: Berlin has a lot of shops for used CDs, especially in Kreuberg and Friedrichshain.

Sheet music shop: Bauer & Hieber. Just off Marienplatz. I would be surprised if an old-school Munich sheet music shop did not carry an old-school Munich sheet music company's product, but you could e-mail them to see. If you strike out there, you could e-mail J. Henle Verlag (info@henle.com) to see if they can point you in the direction of a place in Munich where you can buy their muusic. https://muenchen.bauer-hieber.com/

As for CDs, a google search reveals all kinds of vinyl shops, most of which also carry CDs. I saw one review that particularly praised the selection of jazz and classical music CDs at the music shop on the 5th floor of the Ludwig Beck department store on Marienplatz.

Danke schoen/ thank you so much!

I do appreciate the rare find of secondhand shops.
Bauer und Hieber look like a dream compared to what we can visit in the states now. (I think they carry Barenreiter editions too, but I am so gratified there is someplace that sells sheet music, when G. Henle Verlag music is headquartered in Munich.)
The Ludwig Beck department store 5th floor also looks wonderful: am so admiring they have a place where artists come to sign copies and meet like a bookstore.

And thank you for the references to Mono and M-2 music: (second hand CD and record stores) it seems there's a good selection for disks. The M-2 shop website looks friendly at least to visitors for all kinds of music.

update: Bauer and Hieber (right on corner near Marienplatz). The main floor has postcards, books about music, and classical music themed stuff I imagine children are attracted to when they enter music stores.
I walked in, and the lady at the door noticed I whipped out my notebook with music works I was seeking, and she sent me straight to the basement (er, sheet music...cave...) where a nice person zipped over and asked for my list.

They didn't have the Henle edition of what I wanted but gave me the Barenheiter edition (I'm ok. The Barenheiter has markings.). Prices are pretty comparable to what they are in the US, so no $ advantages getting these editions there, but better able to SEE in person what is On the Pages before Buying (versus when I hit "order" button from home).

They struck out (did not have) the less-well known but not obscure work I was seeking.
I was kind of overwhelmed by Marienplatz (a lot of tourists, not my vibe) that I forgot to browse the CDs.

But thank you for the info!
