Munich, Venice, Florence, Lauterbrunnen/Zurich

Hello,

We are planning a trip for May-June 2019 for 14 days. Our plan is as follows;
Fly into Munich stay for 4 days
Train to Venice
Stay in Venice for 4 days
Train to Florence
Stay in Florence for 3 days
Train to Lauterbrunnen
Lauterbrunnen for 2 days
Then train to Zurich stay the night and fly out.

I have Rick’s guide books and review all the forums, but I want to know from experience if this itinerary is realistic?

Any suggestions? (Time of year, hotels, restaurants, etc..)

Tony

You will need to think in terms of nights, then with the travel time, you'll see how much time you actually have at your stops.

Munich to Venice, day train or night train? There is a direct day train at 11:00 am that takes 7 hours, and the night train at 11:00 pm that takes 9 hours or so. and of course, other trains requiring connections throughout the day.

Venice to Florence is quick, only 2 hours with direct trains running nearly hourly.

Florence to Lauterbrunnen will take the better part of a day. 6 hours is the fastest with the least number of connections.
