Hello,
We are arriving in Munich on Dec 19th at 8:50am. We need to get to Vienna right away. I went to the OEBB site (Austrian railways) to make train reservations from Munich Hbf to Vienna. I am getting confused because it seems while I am being allowed to book tickets, I also see text that says, "Please note: Timetable data for 2017 have not yet been finalised. Timetable is subject to change." I was told elsewhere that that the 2017 schedule actually starts in mid-December. So,
Not sure why I am being allowed to make a reservation when the schedule can change. I know I should probably ask this on the Austria forum but does anyone here have any insights on this?
Currently I see trains leaving at every :18 and :30 of the hour from Munchen Hbf. Is it possible to make the 11:30am (direct RJ). Or would I be better off shooting for the 12:18 (EC + RJ) or the 1:30 (direct RJ). I would obviously prefer the direct RJ trains.
I want to make advance reservations because tickets are much cheaper that way. I know the risks involved.
Thanks much for your help!
