Noticed Best of Europe tour stops in Reutte or Fussen traveling by bus, I believe. My husband and I are traveling on our own in July. Were hoping to hike around the Dolamites...Castelrotto? Suggestions on which is better? Rent a car or go by train? First time to Europe. Thank you!

Go by train (with a bus for the final leg) to the Dolomites. I don't see the attraction of Reutte, and IMHO, Ortisei is much nicer than Castelrotto. The Dolomites are spectacular, and you don't have to go where Rick goes.

I agree, and hope to verify with experience. We looked and looked and figured amongst the major possibilities Ortisie would work best for us. A least as the summer season winds down when we're going.
