I'm a newbie and need some info on taking the train from Munich to Garmisch. We are 2 US seniors and want to go to Zugspitze. We're thinking of buying these tickets: Combined ticket
DB regional train und Zugspitze-Ticket. I've gotten some confusing info and hope to clear one or two things up. Does this ticket include the ascent and descent from the mountain top or is it just to Lake Eisbee and then purchase tickets on the cable car?
Is this the best ticket to buy?
I appreciate any assistance.

Since the price of the Zugspitze Ticket is 58 EUR alone, 66 EUR and includes RT train from Munich, its a deal.
The Zugspitze Ticket includes:
includes one mountain ascent and descent, either in the form of a round trip on the cogwheel train, a ride on the Gletscherbahn cable car and the Cable car Zugspitze. You can use the Gletscherbahn cable car as often you like on the day of your visit.
