Munich's Single Trip Ticket Calculation

Hi All,

Please kindly advice how to calculate this trip if I plan to use Single Trip Ticket.

If for example I plan to use tram from Sandstrasse with final destination at National Theatre w/ transit in Karlsplatz Nord. Is this counted as 2 single trips or just 1 trip ie. EUR2.7 or EUR 5.4?

TIA

A single ticket is valid for a trip in one direction for up to 3 hours, changes and breaks allowed. Just no return or round trip.

If you take the # 20, 21, or 22 tram from Sandstraße to Karlstor Nord and then the #19 tram to National Theatre, it's a 1 zone (Innenraum) single trip ticket for 2,70€. As Marco indicates there is a time limit to complete your journey.

Or you can walk ½ km east on Gabelsbergerstr. to Luisenstr., and take bus 100 to Odeonsplatz, then walk another ½ km to the National Theatre. That's a Kurzstrecke (short trip, up to 4 stops) ticket on bus 100 for 1,40€.

Or, for 6,20€, you can purchase an Innenraum Tageskarte (all day ticket for the inner zone) and make unlimited trips in the inner zone, including round trip from Sandstr. to the National Theatre and back.

You can look up schedules and fares on the Munich Metro website, www.mvv-muenchen.de.

Or if there are more than one of you, up to 5, you can get a group day card for not a lot more.

All these tickets can be bought through the MVV app on smartphones and don't need to be printed out.

Hi All,

Thank You kindly for the inputs. The Single ticket trip would be more beneficial to me in that way since it would be less than the Partner Day ticket still

Cheers
Have a good day y'all :D
