Munich's English Garden on 21st July at 7pm, is it too late?

Hi All,

Is it going to be too late if I visit English Garden on 21st of July at around 7pm?

I plan to visit the Eisebach surfing location. Perhaps there wouldn't be any more surfers during this time?

and of course strolling the Schonfeldwiese and have a beer at Chinese Tower. the beer garden in Chinese Tower is said to open from 9am - late so i assume 7 or 8pm is still early :D

TIA

It is light out until quite late here in Germany. The sun is setting around 21:30 right now and there is still light in the sky until almost 23:00. A month from now, you could subtract an hour. People go out to eat late and they stay at beer gardens and cafes until very late. They probably surf until it is dark.

You should not have any problem at 7 pm. Sunset in Munich on July 21 will be at 9:04 pm.

Ditto to above unless the weather isn't favorable. The surfer location is, IMHO, not that big a deal so if nothing is going on there (and the weather is OK) just go for a beer at the Tower.

I'm concerned that all your posts seem to try to plan the whole long trip down to the minute.

It is my experience that lots of unplanned things happen to most people most of the time, and trying to plan it to the minute can lead to unhappiness.

Hi All,

thanks so much for the inputs. the sun should be out there, just concern w/ the crowd and hype of the garden :D

Hi Nigel,
i wouldn't rule out if we run out of energy or the weather is not in our favour. but it helps a lot when we do plan in the past. at least it's not going to be a blank moment for us if for example, the weather is not condusive or something. we only have short trips everytime so by planning we could save the time looking for info on the spot. Thank You for all your help so far Nigel. really appreciate it. and wish the best for our travelling journey.

cheers
