I will be traveling in Germany and Austria in December and need some clarification regarding the construction on the S-8 line from Munich airport to Munich Ost.
First, on arrival day we want to head to the Hbf to connect to an S-Bahn to our hotel. For that, simply take the S-1?
Second, my daughter and her husband will be returning to the Munich airport from Salzburg on December 7. Both the DB and OBB sites show the S-8 as part of the itinerary. Are the travel times still accurate given the need to take a DB provided bus around the work? Or, should they do a trip all the way in to the Hbf and then take the S-1?
