Does anyone have a recommendation for a private guide. My husband and I would like someone to take us somewhere to do something outdoors on a day trip leaving from Munich. We have been to Germany many times so don't want any tourist stuff more local alp. experience. Hiking/sledding/food experience we are pretty open

YES -- use Curt Milburn with bighattours.com - he is an American, but now lives in Munich. Check out is website - he offers lots of Munich tours as well as many others including Dachau - he is so informative, friendly, has so much info for you - even on his iPad which he brings. We can't recommend him highly enough.
