Munich in December

Hi can you recommend me some nice logging upon reaching Munich. ( prefer not too expensive) And from the airport, how to go about reaching the logging. Plan to visitt kongnisee and Neuschwanstein Castle and Victuals Market. And Christmas market.
Any day tour to recommend? Thank you!

How many are coming with you?
Motel One is a popular choice for nice but inexpensive lodging. There are 4 or 5 in various locations in the city. The one at Sendlinger Tor is convenient for Christmas Market and Viktualien Markt. Munich City Ost is most convenient for transportation. Deutsches Museum is a good area. All are 75 to 90 EUR per night range.

Just 2 of us.

Other than transportation, is there any place to explore nearby?
Do I stay at just this hotel throughout my trip for the places I Want to go? Or I should stay in another hotel as I would Wan to visit kongnisee and Neuschwanstein Castle?

Here is a map of the Munich transport network.

Note the airport in the upper right hand corner with to railway lines, the S-1 and the S-8. They both go through the center of Munich and have important stops. Ostbahnhof is the east train station, and the Motel One City Ost is a short walk away. Another stop is Rosenheimer Platz. The Duetsches Museum Motel One is a short walk from there. Another stop is Marienplatz, the central square in front of city hall with the famous Glockenspiel on the tower. The main Christmas market will be there. Another stop is Hauptbahnhof, the central train station. Below, to the right, you'll see Sendlinger Tor U-Bahn station. That is where the other Motel One is. You'll see 4 U-Bahn lines connecting it to Hauptbahnhof, and 2 U-Bahn lines connecting it to Marienplatz.

The Sendlinger Tor Motel One may have limited availability, as it gets booked up due to its proximity to the Christmas Market. Trains to Berchdesgaden and Fuessen for Neuschwanstein leave from the Haupbahnhof. The train to Berchdesgaden also stops at the Ostbahnhof.
