Munich hotels - Mercure Alstadt or Hotel Admiral

We stayed at the Mercure on our last visit. The location was good- we walked with our luggage from the Hbh, and could walk to Marienplatz. The room was smaller than most comparable North American hotels, but was impeccably clean. The bed was typical of the beds we found everywhere in Germany - hard as a rock. Their breakfast is very good for an included one -- what I would describe as an expanded continental, with fresh fruit, cold meats, cheeses, and hard boiled eggs. And DO try the fresh honeycomb honey on your bread if it's on the buffet. Google has photos of the breakfast spread.
