Munich EES

Deciding which airport and airline. Coming from Bangkok, flights to Munich and Zurich are much cheaper on Thai. The problem is that Thai arrives at both airports at the end of the arrival rush and my wife has to go thru EES process. Has anyone arrived at either airport around 7am who can tell me how bad the immigration processing time is. Thank you

We went through EES at Munich on Thursday Sept. 2 around 10 am, and recommend you allow a minimum of 2 hours between connecting flights for this process. We had only 80 minutes and almost missed our flight.

Munich transfers used to be quick & easy — but this time it felt more like Frankfurt. Long trek from arrival gate to the passport control area, where EES was located. Long snaking lines at each spot, although the fingerprint/photo process itself is quick. Luckily our flight showed up on a board near passport control for short connections, so we got a quick passport scan & then ran for our flight, which was already boarding.
