Hello!
Planning a trip to Germany/Austria from April 7 - 17th. We will be in Munich April 8 and 9th, leaving on the 10th. I understand Germany celebrates Easter and has a state holiday for 4 days. Good for them! Does anyone know what we can expect for restaurants/venues/shops during this time? Is everything closed? Should I consider changing my dates if possible!

Good Friday, Easter and Easter Monday you will find the stores closed. Many museums will be closed on Good Friday, but open on Easter and Easter Monday. Same thing with tourist attractions, tours, etc. The Saturday is a day like any other Saturday. Check websites. for any of those days though. Restaurants and cafes will probably be business as usual all of those days. They may not have music playing on Good Friday, so clubs will be closed that day too.
