Munich Christmas Day

Hello,
I have been trying to find information online to see what things might possibly be open on Christmas Day and on December 26th in Munich. so far no luck. I have contacted the Munich Tourist office, still waiting to hear back from them.
Any thoughts or ideas?

We arrive in Munich early on the 24th. I understand the Christmas Markets will close at 2 pm. So we’ll see a little of that.

I thank everyone in advance for any advice given.

Almost nothing will be open.

If you haven’t already try to book your Christmas meal at a restaurant (ask your hotel for recommendations).

If the Edeka grocery store is open at the airport when you land purchase enough snacks and drinks to get through 2 days.

When we live there, if the weather was decent we typically went for a walk on Christmas afternoon in the mountains.

I would also ask for advice on the www.toytowngermany.com forums. Who knows, you might even get an invite to some ex-pat’s Christmas dinner (especially if you’re bringing goods from the USA).

Thank you.

We are traveling via train from Nuremberg. So I will make sure we have some food supplies.

I was able to make a Dec 25th reservation at the Ratskeller München.

The Bavarian National museum has the largest display of nativity scenes in Germany is open on Christmas Day, as are the Glyptothek, Haus Der Kunst, and the Munchner Stadtmuseum.
Also, if you google "Munich Christmas markets" there are several articles that list the Christmas markets that are open Christmas Day .

Frohe Weihnachten !!
