Greetings! We will be travelling Summer 2024 with our three year old son and 20 year old nephew. I would like to take a half-day trip to Dachau (obviously without the toddler) and wondering if anyone has experience with a hotel (or otherwise?) offering childcare services in Munich? Many thanks!
You can search for "Tagesmutter" in Munich; they care for kids for some hours.
That’s a difficult one. I don’t know where to find a one-time “Tagesmutter” or “Babysitter” for travellers in Munich.
Some stores like Ikea offers childcare services (“Kinderbetreuung” in German) while parents are shopping, but they would expect them to return immediately once they are called.
There are hotels that focus on families and provide childcare services but those are typically somewhere in holiday destinations (many in Austria) rather than in cities.
Doing some searching I found just one hotel in Munich that has a children’s playroom and offer childcare services in request. Thus, it would be worth to contact them and clarify.

The location is not in the city center but the public transport is very good (about 20 minutes to Marienplatz, 30 minutes to the airport, 45 minutes to Dachau Memorial Site).
