Coming to Munich this summer and will need transport for 4 back and forth from airport plus a couple days of S-Bahn. Two of group are teens 17/18 and wondering if a group card requires everyone to travel as one. If so I’d have to buy standalone group from airport and back when we are together than single day tickets.

Yes a group ticket requires everyone to travel together as there is only one ticket. Having said that, one couple could stay home while the other couple used the ticket, but the stay-at-homes would have no ticket if they decided to go somewhere. You write all the names in ink on the back of the ticket.
