Hello- I got lots of good information from travelers in the Forum page> I plan to travel in Munich and Berlin for 15 days in late May and June 2015. I'm still working on getting aircraft prices. I will be leaving from New York City. Does the day of week I leave have any effect on price of flight? I usually stay in hostels but if convenient will stay in hotel near the center of the cities.I will use public transportation where possible. Thanks for any help. John
John,
all you need to do to find out is to input different days of the week.
but yes.
happy trails.
Some airline search engines will allow you to say your dates are flexible, then they show you the cheapest options. Others may display a "low-fare calendar."
Hi, John, I travel to Berlin every year for vacation. It's my favorite city after years of traveling around Europe.
As far as airfares go, I've had good luck with kayak.com. They offer a low-fare calendar and also a "multi-city" option which would be perfect for you. Last year I flew Norwegian Airlines. They fly the 787 Dreamliner, which is a major improvement on other planes. Norwegian also offers some really low fares, in fact, if I were you, I'd check their fares asap. That's the good news. The bad news is that in all my years of travel, Norwegian has the worst service I've ever experienced. It's a budget, budget, budget airline, i.e. bring your own food, water and anything else you'll need.
I don't know if this forum allows you to reply to me directly, but if it does, I'd be delighted to share with you information about Berlin.

Deselect airport changes, and select "See calendar of lowest fares".
