Oktoberfest starts Sept 16. 11 days from now. Go ahead and check any booking site to look at prices. They are usually quite a bit higher than the same dates in the months before and after Oktoberfest.

Are you planning for this year or next? On the booking.com site you can see the rates for each day by selecting a hotel, then, under the 'Availability' section, then 'Change Search'. For a random hotel, Boutique Hotel Germania, the rates go from $85 for Sept. 10, to $732 for Oct 04. Sep 14 is $164, the next day is $493.

I'm wondering with Going234 if you are going this year or next year. I'm a fan of MotelOne, a German chain, when looking for reasonably-priced hotel stays. I looked for this weekend, and their prices are about the same as they normally are; 2 weekends from now, prices are more than twice as much.

we are planning trip for next year but not going to octoberfest just traveling bavaria
