Travelling to Poland from US in September with a connecting flight in Munich. Our connection time has been reduced to 1 hour 20 minutes. Has anyone had recent experience with connecting flights in Munich? Is this enough time for passport control and to get to gate in time?

UA is a Star Alliance member and you probably will transfer to another Star Alliance carrier in MUC, e.g. LH or LOT. So you will both arrive and depart in terminal 2. 1 hour 20 is plenty of time for this.
