I'm wondering if mid- late October is too cool for a ride down the Mosel bike path. any lodging and or other site tips are appreciated.

The temperature should be rather pleasant. However, it could be damp.

Thank you.. we will bring a rain coat. Our other option is doing the Lake Constance Bike Path which goes through part of Germany, Switzerland and Austria. We like to ride through the beautiful small towns but don't like summer crowds and we are getting a later vacation date than usual this fall.

I talked to man earlier this week who had just finished riding the Model. He had great weather but of course that is no guarantee you will.
