We are currently traveling in The Netherlands and Germany. Husband has a medical marijuana card for chronic pain where we live in the states, but that is of no use to him in other countries. He had no issue in The Netherlands (coffee shops were readily available). But he had legal concerns with bringing from The Netherlands into Germany (smuggling, according to German law).
In Berlin, I discovered a local Apotheke that dispenses medical marijuana. We spoke with the pharmacist inside the store. He told us about the process. First, go to DrAnsay.com (a telemedicine platform) and create an account. Second, select your items for purchase and your Apotheke pick-up store (they are located in multiple cities in Germany). Third, complete their online questionnaire that addresses medical conditions. Fourth, pay for the order.
In about 24 hours, we received confirmation that an online prescription was completed and that the order was in progress. Then just wait for confirmation that the order is ready for pick-up at your chosen Apotheke.
Since husband tends to be more risk-averse, this was the best route to follow for him. Just thought I would share the info and our experience in case others on this forum would find this useful.
Happy travels!
