Mauseturm from Bingen direction

Hi,

I check on gmap direction to Mauseturm from Burg Eltz via Bingen. It seems the direction is not that accurate as it just crosses a railway track. I think there should be a driveway perhaps along the Nahe river before turning left to Rhine river. I was told by a member that there should be a parking on a park just right by the river across the Mauseturm. I am still not sure the name of the park but there is an 'Alte Wagenhalle im Park am Mauseturm' tagged in gmap.

How could I cross from B9 Nahe River to the banks of the Rhine river on the left? There's a railway track from I could see on gmap blocking the driveway.

TIA

Until someone with intimate knowledge of the town checks in, looks like you park at Bingen Hbf and walk over the pedestrian bridge to get to that side of the tracks. You can always find out the old fashioned way and ask for directions when you get there.

Hi Sam,

thanks for the info :)
That's what I could see from gmap's satellite too so far that there's a crossing bridge to the river banks from the Hbf. We need to park on the Hbf side. oh well, if I still couldn't find any more info of the access closer to the river bank, I'd skip it since we have time constraint . I think The Pfalz in Kaub offers more or less the same or even better view w/ much easier parking access.

Cheers

You cannot visit the Mäuseturm anyway - it's on an island, there's no boat there, and it's not open to the public. For the Pfalzgrafenstein, access is by ferry 6 days per week from Kaub.

The Rheinstein Castle museum to the north of Bingen can be visited.
