I’m trying to be prepared for my trip to Germany next month. Are our KN95 or N95 masks accepted as a substitute? I know they’re the same but want to be sure there isn’t any problem.

Most masking except in transport has become voluntary as of this week, but yes, KN95 and N95s are acceptable where FFP2s are required (such as trains). Most people do still mask up in crowded places or shops for now, but that will taper as the summer progresses.

I'm in Germany now and I am wearing KN95 masks and they're fine - I've seen others wear them as well. There are some business that are requiring masks and you must wear them on all public transport as of now.
