Tried to search for info without starting a new topic, but there was no information.
I am planning a trip to Germany (and Switzerland) in September, 2023 and was trying to find if masks are required on trains in either of those countries. Thank you.

No, they are not at this time. Of course, that can change but I doubt if it will.
By the way, my niece lives in Castle Rock - nice place. :)

even if they're not, you should always mask on trains and planes and ferries, and in airports and train stations if possible.
somewhere near you someone will be sick, that's just how it is.

Just carry some and recheck for current information in August. September is a long time away and the world knows, things can, and do, change quickly and frequently.

The only place it is required are if you go to the Dr.
Lots of people wear masks on trains and at the stations though.
