hello all! we will be travelling from Mainz Germany to Colmar France, over 5 day period, and we are looking for best sites and hotels. any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

We will be travelling by car, where it makes sense. We could stay somewhere then take a train so to appreciate the beauty or for effeciency.

Well, there's everything and everything, from cathedrals to palaces to aerospace museums to wineries to amusement parks. What kinds of things did you have in mind?
What time of year? Two persons, more than that?
For hotels I'd hold off on that until you have an itinerary that suits you.

We travelled some of this territory last year. Not in a straight line, as we had a personal connection that took us about 45 miles to the east of Stuttgart.
