Flying into Luxembourg City, I'm having trouble figuring out the easiest way to get to Trier. Is there a bus? I believe the train station in Luxembourg is under construction and I need other possible options. Any advice would be most helpful.

It looks like they are building a spur line to the airport and building a station there.

There appears to be a lot of work going on in the month of April, but it should finish up in a couple of days.

Thanks for the information, Sam. From your suggested site it looks like there will be bus lines out.
There's a regular bus route to Luxembourg railway station although it's a city bus route that makes frequent stops into town. Once you get to Luxembourg station, there are hourly trains to Trier that take around an hour. These are Regional trains, so no need to book in advance.
If you look online you can see some shuttle services that offer trips directly from the airport to Trier, but in my experience they're very expensive.
Thanks again for more very helpful suggestions, Philip. I'm much relieved that I can now successfully get to Trier!
