I just want to verify that luggage storage is available at the Stuttgart train station. I realize the website says it is but in this day and age I thought all storage had been removed. Is there a security procedure one must go through?
What website? If it is www.bahnhof.de I see no reason to not trust it, and luggage lockers are common at most stations.
my only concern would be based on last September when I was going through Stuttgart Hbf all the construction had everybody using temporary walkways and convoluted passageways. If it hasn't completed (maybe due to the plague) the lockers may be a little difficult to find. If it has completed, it may be easier.....
The construction at Stuttgart Hbf is expected to be finished in 2025.
Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof (main station) is far from being completed. Nevertheless you can store your luggage there. The German word for luggage storing is "Gepäckaufbewahrung", for lockers "Schließfächer". In German airports and train stations most of the sign boards are in English as well (or there are pictograms). In the worst case (when you are in the back of a train) you might have to walk several hundred yards from your train to the luggage storage. You will have to have euro coins for using the lockers.
Thank you all.
