Lucerne B&B

Can anyone suggest a reasonable place to stay in Lucerne......by what I find everything is high dollar. We're looking at the most $150. Thanks

Ibis Styles is a bargain basement but clean and nice chain (Accor). The Ibis Styles is the relatively new rename of All Seasons.

Small brekkie, wifi, kids area all included in quite a reasonable price. As said above, WHEN is the big question, there and all around Luzern.

When looking in Switzerland for under $150 US you need to be looking under CHF 140 which can be tough. Switzerland, and especially Luzern and Zurich, can be pretty expensive....

Jo,

I'd also recommend Hotel Stern in Lucern. Is your price level in US $ or CHF?

(Just curious, why is this in the "Germany" section)?

We stayed in a lovely B&B in Beckenried, which is about half an hour from Luzern by train and bus, or 75 minutes by boat. We paid CHF 90 per night for 3 of us (June 2013) and we had the use of a full kitchen and large dining/lounge room (pretty much to ourselves as guests in the other 3 rooms only stayed one night). Frau Scheuber only speaks German, but that caused us no difficulties. The B&B is 5 minutes walk from the main bus stop, the dock and the cablecar to Klewenalp. It's directly on the lakefront overlooking Rigi Kulm. We were really happy with our choice, especially given the price of hotels in Luzern. http://www.ferienamsee.ch/
