A little bit more information is needed.
What train, what time, who have you contacted so far? This is almost a month ago, but if it is in the lost and found they should have it. Sometimes other train guests just take things though if they see they are left behind. Is there any reason why you have waited so long to find it?

Hi.
We didn't wait. We checked lost and found in Augsburg and in Munich several times personally and we also filled up online form and every day check it hourly. We went to police and also report there. We gave the information of laptop and driving license to police. We faxed and emailed all the DB Which we know. I asked my German friends to call lost and found hotline! I checked with Fussen city lost and found too!
But still nothing! I read some where that police also have lost and found. If yes how can I contact them?!
I am writing here desperately to check if still hope for finding our backpack or not.
Thanks for your answer
Regards

Ah, your lesson in traveling has arrived. 3 years ago, my wife left a small purse with all our banking information on the train. Access codes, numbers, passwords - everything. We asked at L&F, and never found it. We checked our bank records, and never had any questionable access attempts. In future, you will doubtless not leave things behind. Cold comfort, but our lessons in traveling usually come at a price.

Maybe that is one way of looking at lessons learned or experience gained in traveling that they come with a price. That is one premise that they come with a price that I reject. I am by no means the perfect traveler, but expériences gained don't have a price tag attached to it unless one chooses to view it in that manner...I don't. ...certainly nothing that drastic, at most an inconvenience in time lost.

Fred, perhaps you are right. When we planned our trip this year, we spoke about the lost purse many times, and planned on keeping that information in different places, so that we could not leave it on the train again.
