Hi,
We're a group of 4 coming to Oktoberfest from the USA and are looking to share reservations in one of the beer tents on either Sept 17, 18, or 19. The problem is that most places have a 10 person minimum.
We can book a place, like Ochsenbraterei, which still has seats available to reserve for Monday the 19th, and then you can reimburse us for however many people you are,
OR
If you have booked a reservation for any of those dates and have bought more tickets than you will end up using, please let us know and we can just meet up at the tent and pay you back for them.
Thanks
Your best bet is checking on the local English language forum for Munich:

I've use Whitney Events before with success (but be aware you sign a contract to purchase the seats she finds you, her way to weed out the flakes).

We were 4 people that went to October Fest last year.Did not have any reservations and had a wonderful time in two tents.
It may be tough getting a table reservation for the 17th and 18th, since that is opening weekend. On Monday the 19th though, you should be able to get seated during the afternoon with no reservations. If you want evening seating, keep trying for reservations.
OK, thanks. Did you have to show up and wait in line hours before it opened on the weekends to get in? I've just been looking online and reading things like that........
Opening weekend is just so crazy with all the events, that many plan way ahead for that weekend. That weekend, weekends in general, and the last day(s) are the peak times. Several of us are going this year for the opening weekend, we decided to focus on the Parades, other sights in Munich, and maybe wander the grounds, but not expecting to get into the tents for a beer on Sat and Sun. On Monday though, we will hit the fest grounds and scope out the tents. Each table has a card noting reservations. What I found last time I went is that after the local lunch crowd clears out the block of time until 5:00 or 6:00 is open on many tables. Last time we managed to hit two tents, could have done more, just run pout of time. enough people to have fun, but not so crowded as to be overwhelmed.
Less crowds also means you can get into tents just to look around, they really are a wonder, maybe find the one that looks best to you.
