I want to surprise my husband with a unique experience for his 40th Birthday so I am looking for suggestions of activities/private tours that people have done in the Mosel or Rhine Valley area that they loved. We will be there at the beginning of May 2025.

Meisenheim is a medieval walled city with some of the wall left. Really nice church, on the river, very much off the beaten path. A short drive from the Rhine or the Mosel.
