In Germany we have so many basic sausages, see this list as example.

Fav Currywurst is at Bier's (mit Darm) - they buy their ones somewhere around Münster (hundreds of kilometer transport). Secret about the Currywurst is besides the Curry which basic sausage are taken.

Fav Thüringer is at Bistro Hasselbach near Ostbahnhof (only lunch time on Wednesdays from own grill). I know the owners.

Normally I would suggest someone who is more a specialist (e. g. a Metzger- or Fleischer-Meister) but you need someone speaking your language.

Currywurst is a very beloved fast food in the middle and northern parts of Germany, esp. Berlin.

Believe it or not: Volkswagen has its own Currywurst which has an own VW spare parts number (read more here).
