As a kid, living in southern Bavaria, we used to take road trips all over the place, and on several occasions we would stop at this roadside attraction. It was a farmers house, and the yard was full of figurines and other novelties that would move. (two men sawing a log, lady twirling, typical German craftsmanship). There were dozens and dozens of these throughout the front yard, and all powered by water. I am planning a trip to Bavaria with my daughters next year, and would love to know where this place is so that we could add it to our itinerary.
I think Rick did a segment on this place in one of his videos, and i can not seem to find it.
Thanks,
Bryan
That sounds like you're looking for Hans Peter Porsche's Traumwerk in Anger-Aufham near the A8, just before Salzburg.
sla019; No, Traumwerk is a museum, this was just a farmhouse with small figurines in the yard, each one was no more than 15-20 inches in height, and they were scattered all over the front yard. The yard was fenced off, and visitors would stand and watch. It's like seeing a bunch of garden gnomes in the yard doing different tasks.
