Has anyone had any experience with sources to find housing in Germany, specifically Nuremburg? This is for my 24 year old son who has a teaching opportunity over there but must find housing at a teacher's salary. He is a Fulbright Scholar but they have to find their own place. He is willing to share housing with one or more people to keep cost down. He will not have car. Anybody with experience with good reliable apartment search website over there? THANKS!
Bill
You could check http://www.immobilienscout24.de and search in Nürnberg for Mietwohnungen. Student rooms with bath and mini kitchen in/near the Old City are hard to come by as they are in demand. With the U-Bahn, S-Bahn and trains getting around will not be a problem.
Yes, that's good advise: ImmobilienScout24, www.immonet.de and www.immowelt.de are the best sources. Then of course there is airbnb.com.
Nürnberg, Fürth, Erlangen are all in proximity to each other: There is a serviced apartment house in Erlangen that charges €65/night from stays 1 month or longer: http://www.zeitwohnhaus.de/de/preise-konditionen/serviced-apartments/
Much cheaper is probably finding a room in a shared apartment here: http://www.mitwohnzentrale.de/index.php?article_id=1&clang=1
Thanks, all.
Check on Toytown. This is a website for English speakers who live in Germany. Many of the cities have their own forum and for people who have just moved to Germany (or even those who are visiting) the website is a treasure trove of valuable and helpful information. Those who are looking for room mates advertise a lot on there.

Another tip is Facebook. Most cities have a variety of FB pages, and if you search for ones like Nuremberg Garage Sale, or flea market, yard sale, etc. something might come up to be helpful too, like finding furniture, small appliances, and so on.
THANKS TO ALL! This forum is so wonderful.
