The hurricane is getting too dangerous and all long distance trains are cancelled in Germany. Some regional trains may be running, so check with the DB
Same thing goes for the Netherlands I believe.
Thanks for the news, Jo. Yes, Schiphol was closed for awhile and some trains didn't run today. We've been in contact with our exchange family along the coast and some friends in Leiden. You can see some stunning videos at Dutchnews.nl.
At around 11.00 AM Dutch Railways cancelled all their services nationwide. Tomorrow it will be slowly back to normal.
In the meantime the storm gave some impressive pictures, such as these in Rotterdam.
