Logistics for traveling by train for Markets

Hi everyone!
Wasn't sure where to post this topic as it does include other countries besides Germany. Please bear with me

We are planning a Christmas market trip this year. Already have the flights, we will be flying into Frankfurt and leaving out of Munich.
Just wanted to run this itinerary by you all to see if it makes sense.
Fly into Frankfurt-train to Strasbourg
4 nights in Strasbourg and include time in Colmar area-train to Stuttgart
3 nights in Stuttgart, include time in Esslingen- train to Nuremberg
3 nights in Nuremberg, include time in Regensberg- train to Salzburg
2 nights in Salzburg-train to Munich
2 nights in Munich
Fly home

Appreciate all input. Thank you

I’ll reply later in more detail. We go to the Christmas Markets almost yearly. If you need a great hotel in Nuremberg- highly recommend Hotel Victoria - it is within the old town wall- easily walkable to the market and the cathedrals- and it’s right across the street from the train station- you can actually walk underground which makes it super easy. Book hotels now if you already haven’t - they sell out fast.

Dates are leaving SFO on 11/23 and returning on 12/8. I did check each city as to when markets would be open this year.
And thanks for hotel recommendation.
Appreciate any feedback.

Salzburg: Take a side trip to the Wolfgangsee and see the markets at Strobl, St. Gilgen, and St. Wolfgang.
