Lodging in Dortmund

Going to be staying in Dortmund a couple of weeks end of January beginning of February. Any suggestions?

Can't help exactly with accommodations in Dortmund but I have done several day trips in Dortmund, using public transport to track down sites in mostly outlying (boonie) districts, I always stayed in Düsseldorf either at the DJH hostel or a hotel and took the train, ca. 50 mins or so to Dortmund Hbf.

I don't know of any hotels in Dortmund near the central station or in the Zentrum. My hotel is conveniently located only a block up from Düsseldorf Hbf. If you're interested in that option, I do recommend the hotel, accepts credit cards, no AC, en suite facilities as it is a 3 star.

Hi,

part 2 here....

If you drink beer and are especially into German beer, I heartily recommend what Dortmund has to offer, Dortmunder Biere.. DAB is just one of numerous varieties.

Didn't stay overnight in Dortmund, but we stayed in a Motel One in both Nuremburg and Stuttgart ... very nice, small rooms but comfortable beds ... price was around 100 euro a night ... can't comment on breakfast but it looked good ... nice bar/lounge area if that matters
