Linderhof and Neuschwanstein Organized tour rec?

I have some friends that are going to be in Munich in mid June and are looking for an organized tour of BOTH Neuschwanstein and Linderhof. Does anyone have a rec or a good one (or heck, does one even exist that does both in one day from Munich?). They're first timers in Europe and are terrified of trying to do it on their own with a car.

I don't know of such a tour.

If they are terrified of trying with a car (a car in Munich is such a pain - I always stay in a nearby town because of the difficulties with driving in Munich) have they considered using the train. Easy and cheap for a group.

Rick's book does a great job on public transportation options. Train to Fussen, bus to Neuschwanstein.

The 3rd party tours linked to on this thread don't even include the price of admissions. At 64€ per person for the transportation alone (not including ~33€ for admissions) I think this tour is grossly overpriced. Two people can go to Neuschwanstein by rail with a Bayern-Ticket for 36€/P (the tour would charge you 128€ for two people for transportation alone).

So, they throw in Linderhof and Oberammergau to make it seem more worth the exorbitant price. Yes, I admit it would be difficult to do Linderhof, Oberammergau, and Neuschwantstein by public transportation in a day), but they spend so little time in those other venues that claiming them is a scam. I've been to both Linderhof (Linderhof has extensive grounds and a unique grotto) and Oberammergau (2 nights). 45 minutes is only enough time to say that you've been there (Linderhof, check). I spent 6 -7 hours touring Linderhof. There is so much there to see. There is the grotto and extensive grounds.

And 20 minutes in Oberammergau is so fraudulent, it's not even funny.

Forget Linderhof and Oberammergau. You don't really get to spent significant time at them anyway. Just do Neuschwanstein with a Bayern-Ticket and save a lot of euro vs the tours.
