Laundry Service in Munich

We will be on a 2 week trip in July and we will be in need of a laundry service by the time we get to Munich. Does anyone know of a drop-off laundry service near the Munich train station?

Thanks.

Tom, were you able to contact the service and perhaps get a rate to drop off a load of laundry?

Thank you.

Yes. Sort of.

I finally got in touch via email with the City Dry Clean/ Laundry and was told the facility at Augustenstrasse 66 Munich would do wash/ dry/ fold service for same day, The Internet said the hours are M-F 7:30am to 8:00pm and Sat 9:00am to 7:00pm. If dropped off early they would do same day.

Once I connected by phone +49 160 825 4178 I was told that the facility near the train station at Bayerstrasse 6 would do the same: email: [email protected]

I will arrive in Munich on July 10 via train and I am planning to stop by the facility at Bayerstrasse 6 and get a full understanding in person. That location would be great as we are staying at Schiller 5 Hotel which is near the train station.

That's what I kniow so far.

We are a family of 5 travelling together. We will be on day 10 of our trip and need some laundry done. I'd prefer not to have to spend the time doing laundry, if I can avoid it. It comes down to choices.

We are in Munich right now and used the “city dry, clean” laundry services Located at Bayerstrasse 6 which is very near the train station.

Yesterday, before dropping off our laundry, I made sure that I understood the operating hours. Self-service laundromat hours are from 6 AM to midnight. The posted sign said drop off service was from 8 AM to 7 PM. We showed up this morning at 8 AM and the drop off service was not yet open. It turned out that it opened at 9 AM.

The service was fine but expensive. Five of us are traveling together, so we dropped off one “full”load of laundry to be washed, dried, and folded. One load total

I was stunned when I was given the price of €80.
But, I wasn’t going to let it ruin our day as I’d prefer not to spend our day in a hot laundromat.

For what it is worth, whether you use it for self-service or drop off service, the laundromat appeared very clean and orderly and it is indeed close to the train station.

We dropped off at 9 AM and picked it up on our way back to the hotel at 5:30. I know we could have picked it up even sooner.

If you have a few hours to spare in Munich, self service is usually best IMO. Get to see the real life of Munich and usually the laundromats are fairly clean. A lot better than what I saw in the US.
