Our family will be in Munich on a Sunday (march 10) and departing on a midnight train. Need advice on late night kid friendly activities or at least safe places to spend the time prior to our departure.

Look at the list of events at muenchen.de. Or go swimming in the Müllersches Volksbad, a beautifully renovated art nouveau public pool; it's open until 11pm.

Therme Erding if you're just looking for a spot to have fun. It's HUGE and was a highlight of the Munich area for my kids. It's on the train line but outside the city.
